Water Polo in the East Midlands
Welcome to the home of water polo in the East Midlands. Water polo is a fast-paced sport played by two teams in a swimming pool and requires a high level of stamina and fitness.
The game involves throwing a ball around your team and shooting to score in a net, guarded by a goalkeeper, while the other team will try to take the ball from you. A player can cover up to 3km in one game!
Find out more about water polo on the Swim England Water Polo Hub.
Some schools also enter the English Schools Swimming Association (ESSA) water polo competition. This is a good way to get more competitions and play games with your school mates.
