Ian Davey

I have beeeen involved in swimming for over 30 years primarily as an official – a referee for nearly 25 years. I started, as many, as a parent on the balcony. Over the years I have officiated at Club, County, Regional and National level but, also held a number of voluntary posts including County Facilities Officer, Officials Coordinator, and Executive member.I am currently the Derbyshire representative on Swim England East Midlands board.  

As a retired police officer, I currently work part time for the Charity Stop Hate UK overseeing their Helpline and Support services for persons affected by hate incidents. 

Outside of aquatics, my interests include music – playing with a local brass band – dog training and country sports.
